Wilderness Lodge or Magic Kingdom or take a bus from the Ticket and

My wife and I visited the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue on our second night at
WDW (prompted by the rave reviews on this site). We were on our honeymoon
and the day had not been going well. Both of us had a bad cold and
the entire day the Florida interior was plagued with torrential downpours.
Neither of us felt like making the trek to Ft Wilderness (by boat
from MK) but did not want to forfeit the cost of the show so we put
on our waders and set out. We were told to arrive 45-60 minutes early
for the show, which we did, and ended up waiting on a bench until
5 minutes prior to show starting.
The
show started and we quickly forgot all our woes. The food was excellent
and there was plenty of it. The service was pretty quick to refill
our rib pails and pitchers of beer (if you are really going through
the food they seem to pay a little more attention to you). Midway
through the show I suggested (after a few more beers) to one of the
Cast that if they were going to need volunteers on stage that I was
their man, which they were more than happy to oblige, giving me the
role of the Indian Brave.
We
stayed on location (Port Orleans) and were not quite sure how we were
getting back to the resort after the show until it let out and (leave
it to Disney) there was a string of buses returning to every hotel.
It ended up being one of the best nights we spent at WDW.
If
you have reservations, I would only bother showing up 15 minutes prior
however or you will end up waiting around Ft Wilderness with nothing
to do (especially in the rain). Plan on a 15 minute ride from Magic
Kingdom on the boat. (Nick E., November 2005)

We went to the Hoop Dee Doo Review on 11/01/05 and it was great!!
We arrived there way too early for our 7:15 pm seating and the staff
was able to accommodate us for the 5:00 pm seating. Our seats were
upstairs looking directly down on the stage - great view! The food
was delicious and plentiful. We asked for more ribs and they were
brought out without hesitation. The performers came up to us a few
times to inquire about our evening or any special events we were having.
I think our kids may have had a better time than we did (5 - 7) I
never heard them laugh that loud or that much!! It was lots of fun

My family and I spent a week in Disney at the beginning of October.
Our family consists of myself 36, wife 36, mother 63, a 10 yr.old
girl, 12 yr old boy and 3 yr old boy. We had 7:15 pm reservations
for the Hoop de Doo dinner show on our arrival day and were worried
that this would be too late for the baby. We started our day leaving
home at 6:30 am for a 7 hour drive to Disney and the baby refused
to sleep. We decided to enter the Magic Kingdom for a couple of hours
before boarding the boat to Ft. Wilderness. When we did show up for
our reservations, the baby was finally showing his tiredness. That
all ended when the show started for the Hoop de Doo Review. WOW!!
We all had a GREAT TIME!! The baby jumped up and could not look away
from the stage. He was, as we all were, laughing and clapping aloud.
The point is that the entertainment was so enjoyable for everyone
in our party; every age. Oh, the food and service wasn't bad either.
After the show, we boarded the boat to go back to the Magic Kingdom
where we had parked our car. While in the middle of the lake, fireworks
(from MK or EPCOT) started. The boat captain stopped the boat while
everyone aboard enjoyed the show and once again, all were mystified.
I could write a lot more about the evening but let me try to sum it

Every time we visit DisneyWorld (at least every 2 years), we make
sure to include the Hoop-Dee Doo! It is a wonderful evening of fun
and good food. Recommend the earliest show for the freshest food.
We do miss the corn on the cob and chips with nacho cheese dip that
used to be served. Wish they would go back to including that! (Lois

We
went to Disney in September 2005 and of course, we went to Hoop-Dee-Do
(It's always been one of my favorites!) I did make reservations close
to 2 years in advance and BONUS! for doing that...we got a table right
in front of the stage. My kids, ages 5 and 3, loved the show! The
stars of the show kept looking at them and winking and talking as
the walked by our table. The food, as usual, was good and we had plenty!
But nothing can beat the entertainment. No matter how many times you

We
just returned form our trip and this time we decided to see the Hoop
Dee Doo dinner show. There were 8 of us ranging from age 3 to 39 and
we all had a great time. The food is good and plenty of it. The entertainment
was a lot of fun. We had an anniversary, so we enjoyed that part of
the show. Then later, they came to our table looking for a volunteer
to go up on stage and be a part of the show. I volunteered my husband
who was more than willing! He was an Indian brave and had a blast
taking part in the show. They took a small photo of him on stage and
put it in a little frame along with a certificate for his participation.
Overall a great experience and a lot of fun. We rode the ferry from
the Magic Kingdom to the resort and then it's just a short walk to

We went to the Hoop Dee Doo Review on Sat June 4th (the 5 p.m. show)
and I have to say...we all had a fantastic time. We had 2 kids with
us and they had a ball. Also to add to the craziness, I was taken
up on stage to be the Can Can girl. My 10 year old will never forget
that and neither will I! Too much fun! The food was also delicious!

We just returned from 7 wonderful, magical days at Walt Disney World.
The very best meal experience we had was the Hoop Dee Doo Dinner at
Pioneer Hall. It's expensive, but absolutely worth every single penny!!
The show was fantastic and the food was outstanding and plentiful!

We
ate at the Hoop Dee Doo review in April 2005. Put me down as one of
the naysayers. I didn't really enjoy it. There is a lot of noise and
commotion but not much substance - there are a few mildly funny moments
but a lot of the night is taken up with birthdays, anniversaries and
what part of the country are you from?
We
had seats in the balcony but I actually think these were better than
on the main floor where the tables looked crowded together and you
had no elevation to see the stage. The performers did visit us upstairs
and my 4 yr. old son even invited one of them to visit us at home.
LOL.
It's
not really about the food - but it was plentiful but not too creative.
The servers are excellent and efficient. I do think they should be
required to ask if you would like to take your leftovers - I never
thought of it until I saw the table next to us with "doggie bags".
My husband and I each had one piece of chicken and one rib and with
the salad snd bread we were filled. My 4 yr. old twins ordered kid
friendly food - pizza snd macaroni and cheese.
I
thought the stage was quite small for the cast of 6, in fact the pianist
is on the audience floor. I was surprised since many of the staged
shows in the parks have pretty large stages. In terms of value, we
have also attended Dolly's Dixie Stampede where you are getting a
really large show - 32 horses, really large cast, and a pre-show comedy
- (almost Vegas style) and the price is actually a few dollars cheaper.
Driving
to FW is not even that convenient because once you reach the resort,
you need to take the resort bus to reach the hall - this involves
a bus change too. After the show you can take a hayride - they even
have fireworks hayrides. My kids had fun just playing in the sand
at the marina then going to the campfire and seeing Chip and Dale.
I think I would try it again in another few years but it is not essential

My family of 8 (5 adults, 1 senior, and 2 kids) just came back from
Walt Disney World. We have been going every two years since 1995.
One thing that has stayed the same was that we always go to the Hoop
Dee Doo Review. This year's show was EXCELLENT!!! The food was EXCELLENT!!!
Everything was EXCELLENT!!! We always have a good time there. Yes
the cost might be a little high but it is truly worth every penny.

Despite hearing rave reviews about the Hoop Dee Doo Revue, both on
Allears and from friends and family, we were not all that impressed.
The food was good and you could eat immediately after being seated,
the service average, and the entertainment okay. My 8 year old had
a great time. My 6 year old was somewhat entertained. But, the show
did not hold my 3 year olds attention at all. It was difficult to
entertain him and get anything out of the show. We were the second
from the back table and the performers never came back as far as where
we were sitting. If I did go again, I'd wait until the kids are all
6+. But, this dinner show definitely did not live up to my expectations
or all the glowing reviews I've read! Also, it should be made clear
that tables are preassigned, so don't stress out about getting to
the show super early! They won't open the doors until showtime anyway.

When
we went to the 9:30 show, it was less crowded with no kids and the
service was excellent. We were seated at the stage, by the steps,
right where the actors came down to the floor. The actors were great,
the food was great, and everyone, servers included, were friendly
and nice to us. Even thought there were 7 people in our party, they
treated us like we were the only ones in the room. We have been to
Disney at least four times before that trip and never went to the
show, boy were we sorry. It is a must see the first time in Disney.
Although the bus transportion made the night a little longer, it was
worth the trip. Highly recommend you going to the later show if you
want to see the show and not be bothered by the kids. (Ruth Loughlin,

Took
my 11 year old daughter to the Hoop-dee-do for her birthday. While
it was not what she expected (it was a surprise). she thought it was
the best ever. Her 7 year old brother did not stop laughing from beginning
to end. Even though we made our reservation a month ahead of time,
we were in the balcony. That turned out to be a blessing as our kids
could see everything and we were still close to the stage. Our daughter
was highlighted twice (once for her birthday and once with our family)
and the performers made it around to every table in the place during
the two hour performance. The food was actually better than I expected,
but there is almost no time to eat it all without missing some of
the show (brief intermissions notwithstanding). They provide pizza,
hot dogs and mac & cheese for the picky eater (like my son). The
beer and wine are adequate, but cold. The wait staff was exceptional
and we never felt hurried. Bottom-line: a definite repeat on our next

My family and I just went to the Hoop-De-Doo for my husband's birthday.
My children (boy 11, girl 8) really loved it. I thought the show was
fabulous but the food was just OK. We've also been to the Luau and
liked the food there better, but we had a really good time and the
performers were great. I would recommend this for anyone with kids.

Our five year old was captivated the whole time. Thought it was great
to twirl a napkin over her head and have actors walking in the audience.
She is a picky eater and was not excited about baked beans or corn
with peppers in it. Our wonderful waitress Nancy brought her out a
HUGE bowl of mac-n-cheese. Also I ordered sweet tea and was told they
didn't have it. I told Nancy I was suprised because I had had it earlier
at the Trails End next door and thought they shared a kitchen. It
was good tea. Sure enough, she came back shortly with a pitcher of
sweet tea, she had gone next door and gotten. When the show was over
I hadn't finished the pitcher and Nancy put the rest in to go cups
to take back to the cabin with me. They are extremely friendly and
accommodating at both restaurants. If you need something, just ask.
Would highly recommend it. (Of course being from Memphis, I was not
impressed with ribs that I couldn't easily slide the bone from the

The Hoop Dee Doo was such a good time. There were 9 in our group (2
years - 52 years) and we all enjoyed the show. They are funny and
friendly. The chicken was really good. My 2 year old wouldn't eat
it so the waitress asked what she would eat and ended up bringing
her out 2 slices of pizza. It was a great way to end our trip. (Melanie,

We just returned from our trip to Walt Disney World. We went to the
Hoop de Doo Revue for the first time on January 27th. My family and
I thought it was great! I have two daughters, ages 12 and 13 and they
really enjoyed it. The food was delicious. We had great seats and
the waiter was very nice too. The show was very fun. I would definitely
