If You Do 1 of These Things, You’re What Fans Call an 'Extreme' Disney Adult

The term “Disney Adult” has become a bit of a buzzword lately, and it often comes with negative connotations.

But, here at DFB, we consider it a badge of honor and one we wear proudly. There are some Disney Adults, though, who are a bit more… passionate about their love of the House of Mouse — and we’re sharing just what makes them so hardcore.

We asked our Facebook followers what makes someone an “extreme” Disney Adult, and this is what they said!

They own more Disney shirts than non-Disney shirts

Any extreme Disney Adult can probably look into their closet and be met with a glorious sight: lots and lots and lots and lots of Disney shirts. Mickey Mouse? Check. Pizza Planet? Check. That one Hakuna Matata shirt that all dads seem to wear at Animal Kingdom? Triple check.

If you ask us, Disney shirts are perfect for nearly any occasion, and if you’re suddenly realizing this is you — welcome to the club.

They join the Disney Vacation Club

Disney Vacation Club is essentially Disney’s version of a timeshare program. Members can reserve rooms at Disney World, Disneyland, and many other locations by purchasing points to be used in exchange for hotel stays. But, DVC is a pretty big commitment — meaning only the most passionate Disney fans buy in.

DVC works on a point system giving owners the flexibility to travel when they want, as often as they want, for however long they want, and in whatever size unit they choose. We know we go to Disney World every day, but this is our job! Committing to vacationing primarily at Disney-owned properties is a pretty hardcore thing to do.

They have a collection of mugs, ears, or Loungefly bags

Oh, hey, it’s us. We may or may not have any more room in our kitchen cabinets for our Disney mug collection, and we certainly don’t have any more room in our closets for Loungefly backpacks.

What better way to show off your love of the Main Mouse than by having a collection of something that brings you joy?!

They have strong park opinions and a wealth of Disney knowledge

Ask any Disney Adult, “Mexico or Canada?” and they’ll probably have an immediate reply for you. And, where to start in the World Showcase at EPCOT is hardly even the most controversial park opinion! How do you spot a Disney Adult? Don’t worry, they’ll tell you.

BUT! All that knowledge certainly comes in handy when you’re planning a Disney World trip — and the folks who scoffed at your passion will be wishing they had your expertise!

They have Disney tattoos

Okay, this one may take “extreme” pretty literally, but come on — what’s more hardcore than getting something Disney-related semi-permanently marked on your body for life?! We’ve seen some pretty stellar Disney tattoos in our day created by some seriously talented artists.
