4 TOP SECRET Bathrooms in Magic Kingdom

When you visit Disney World every day like we do…you learn some things!

Magic Kingdom

We know all about the best places to eat and the most delicious snacks. We know where to go first during rope drop and which rides to prioritize when using Disney Genie+. But one of the most important pieces of advice we have to share? We know all about the BEST bathrooms in the parks.

Today we’re rounding up our 4 “top secret” bathrooms in Magic Kingdom. AKA, the bathrooms that are usually a lot less crowded than the ones inside major restaurants or next to popular attractions (we’re looking at YOU, Tangled Toilets!). So let’s talk about the places where you can go if you need a quiet spot to…do your business.

Inside Columbia Harbour House

For our first quiet restroom, you’ll actually have to go INSIDE a restaurant and up the stairs! Some first-time visitors to Columbia Harbour House in Liberty Square may not realize that the restaurant has an entire upstairs seating area, but it’s some of the best dining seating in the Magic Kingdom…especially if you find a table by the window and do some people watching!

Columbia Harbour House

But even lesser-known than the upstairs seating is the upstairs bathroom. You’ll have to march to the back corner of the restaurant (kind of above the kitchen) to find these bathrooms, but they’re usually pretty quiet and fairly clean. Especially if you’re not visiting during peak meal times.

You’ll walk past this spot to get to the upstairs bathrooms

The next closest bathrooms are the Tangled Toilets in Fantasyland, and we probably don’t need to tell you that those are some of the BUSIEST bathrooms in Magic Kingdom. Save yourself the trouble and hit Columbia Harbour House instead!

Gaston’s Tavern Bathrooms

If you head back to New Fantasyland, you’ll find a little section of the park dedicated to Beauty and the Beast. Walk past Enchanted Tales with Belle and Be Our Guest Restaurant to find Gaston’s Tavern and Bonjour Village Gifts. When this area was built, Disney thankfully added in some new restrooms!

Gaston’s Tavern

The bathrooms here are located past Gaston’s Tavern in the little courtyard behind the restaurant and gift shop. There are usually a few people here (those who just finished enjoying their gigantic cinnamon rolls and LeFou’s Brew), but they’re not nearly as crowded as other locations.

Bathrooms by Gaston’s Tavern

This area is also nice because it tends to be quieter and there’s a fair amount of seating around for your family and friends to wait while everyone finishes up in the restroom. Plus, all the atmosphere music is from the Beauty and the Beast soundtrack — you can’t beat that!

Near a Closed Ride

Our next spot features some bathrooms that used to be VERY busy but have recently been rather quiet — the ones next to the old Splash Mountain gift shop! While Splash Mountain is being transformed into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, this whole area in the back of Frontierland has a slightly abandoned feel to it.

You’ll have to pass this area

You’ll have to walk under the Frontierland Train Station and past some construction walls to get here, but you’ll be rewarded with a MASSIVE set of bathrooms that we haven’t seen full since the ride’s closure. You won’t have to wait, and the air conditioning in these restrooms is exactly what you want in the heat of Florida.

The ride will open in 2024

Sadly, these will probably be very busy again in 2024 when Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens…although we won’t really mind as much since we’ll have a new ride to check out!

Tomorrowland Terrace Bathrooms

If you’re heading toward Tomorrowland from Main Street, U.S.A., you could easily stop and use the bathrooms next to Plaza Restaurant. They’re usually fairly clean and there are enough stalls that you might not have to wait, but we’re here to tell you that there’s a better way!

Tomorrowland Terrace

Instead of stopping outside of Tomorrowland Terrace, go up the ramp and INSIDE the old restaurant for a quieter bathroom experience. Since Tomorrowland Terrace is closed during the daytime, the restaurant’s bathrooms (right beside the upper seating area and the cash registers) are often empty. There are only a few stalls inside, but you’ll likely get some privacy.

The bathroom is to the right of the registers

The one time this trick doesn’t work is in the evenings. At night, Tomorrowland Terrace hosts the fireworks dessert parties. So if you want to use these bathrooms when their empty, make sure to do it during the daytime!

Dessert After-party check in

And those are some of our best bathroom recommendations for Magic Kingdom! Make sure to check out these spots the next time you’re looking for a little peace and quiet.

  1. You forgot Tom Sawyers Island! It’s a little more difficult to get to but they are super quiet and the A/C is amazing on a hot June Day. 😂
