This weekend is a HUGE one for Disney, as well as for Disney fans. Destination D23 is underway, and we’ve already had some BIG announcements about Disney Parks.
We got a look at an animatronic from Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, the ride replacing Splash Mountain in Magic Kingdom. We got BIG news about Country Bear Jamboree. We even learned when the big EPCOT transformation will be finished. Speaking of EPCOT, we also got a big announcement about a popular EPCOT ride.
Disney World President Jeff Vahle took the stage at Destination D23 to speak about EPCOT, mentioning Disney’s long-term relationship with Chevrolet. Then, he mentioned that Test Track is getting reimagined.
Test Track opened in EPCOT way back in 1999, and its last upgrade was in 2012. So it’s been 11 years since it’s been updated.
Disney did not give a timeline on when Test Track might close for its reimagining, nor did we get an opening date for the new version of the ride. Here’s a look at the concept art.
Disney also posted a video about the news.
