15 Reasons We’re Only Taking the NEW Brightline Train to Disney World From Now On

The highly-anticipated Brightline Train is now taking folks between Orlando from Miami. This has been a game changer for many Florida locals AND visitors!

Outside the Brightline Miama Station

Of course — we had to check it out for ourselves to see what that experience looks like. If you’re wondering whether or not taking the Brightline train to or from the Orlando International Airport (MCO) is worth it for you, we’re here to share our experience!

Personally, we had a great experience and can’t wait to take the train again. Without further ado, here are 15 reasons we’ll continue to utilize the service!

It could be cheaper in some cases.

For some visitors, especially those visiting from South America and surrounding areas, flying into Miami could be cheaper than flying to Orlando!

Then, you can simply take the train from Miami to Orlando to be picked up and driven to Disney World.

Adding Miami to your vacation could add to the fun.

If you’re visiting Florida, you can add Miami as a stop during your magical vacation!

The downtown Miami station is a short Uber ride away from Miami’s beaches, restaurants, museums, and more.

Quick and convenient drop-off and pick-up loop.

Our own personal version of purgatory is the drop-off and pick-up loop at the airport. It’s chaotic, people are honking, you’re trying not to run over pedestrians, and a guard is shouting at you that you need to move it along but your passenger still hasn’t gotten in the car.

You can avoid all of this by taking the Brightline train and enjoying the serene and orderly loop that is next to the station. It was heavenly compared to the usual airport madness.

Three words: Self. Service. Kiosks.

Listen, sometimes you just don’t want to interact with other humans. There’s nothing wrong with that.

There are self-service kiosks at the Brightline station that allow you to handle your own ticket business without having to whip out your handy dandy extraverted alter ego. And if you have issues? Well, there’s a real  person just a short distance away.

Security is a breeze.

It isn’t like airport security. You walk up, put all your stuff on a conveyor belt.

You’ll also scan your ticket at the turnstiles. Unlike airport security, you don’t have to remove shoes or articles of clothing.

There are no liquid restrictions.

Ever had to stand beside the security queue and chug 40 ounces of water? No? Well, that just means you’re a lot smarter than I am.

No liquid restrictions!

Regardless, you don’t have to worry about whether or not you’ve got a full bottle of water in your bag before you hop in line for train security. Your 40-ounce bottle is safe!

You can load your own luggage OR choose to check it.

Like we mentioned earlier, sometimes, you just don’t want to interact with other humans.

You can load your own bags! Or, if you would rather not worry about them, there are employees willing to help ya out and will check it and load it for you.

Security is much shorter.

Security took us a whopping 5 minutes to get through the line. Seriously!

It’s quick and painless, y’all.

The trains are super clean with lots of signage.

Since they’re so new, the trains and the stations are very clean.

Oh, and there is plenty of signage that will help you get to where you need to go once it’s time to board!

Smooth ride!

These trains reach a maximum speed of 125 miles per hour during the trip. However, the acceleration is subtle and isn’t at all rough.

The trip took about 3 and a half hours total, and it was perfectly smooth the whole time.

Nice and roomy!

The seats and cars in themselves were nice and roomy and seemed even roomier than an airplane cabin.

This gave us plenty of room to stretch out and relax throughout the ride.

Lots of daily trips so it works with a variety of schedules.

Due to demand, Brightline recently announced that they would be doubling daily services to 30 trips to and from Miami from Orlando per day.

This would allow more wiggle room for those traveling!

Food and drink options are available!

If you get hungry, no worries! There are plenty of food and beverage options available aboard, for both breakfast and lunch.

Menu items

There are even alcoholic beverages and essentials like headphones and over-the-counter medications.

Kids under 2 ride free.

If you’ve got little ones under the age of two that are tagging along, you won’t have to worry about purchasing a ticket for them.

They can ride for free!

Kids 2-12 can ride for half-off!
