Disney Announces CLOSING Date for Tokyo Space Mountain

If you’re traveling to Tokyo Disney Resort in 2024, you’re in for a LOT of excitement!

Fantasy Springs will finally be opening in June at Tokyo DisneySea, and with it, we’ll get three new themed areas and a matching hotel! We’re sure that quite a few people are hoping to go check out the Frozen, Tangled, and Peter Pan-themed additions. But now, we’re giving you ANOTHER reason to visit next summer!

Disney has announced the closure of Space Mountain at Tokyo Disneyland. The ride is set to be completely transformed and will reopen in 2027.

If you want to check it out in its current form, Tokyo Disneyland will host the “Celebrating Space Mountain: The Final Ignition!” event from April 9th-July 31st, 2024. During this time, you’ll get the chance to enjoy the ride one last time before it closes at the end of the day on July 31st.

Disney previously announced the transformation of the ride in April 2022, along with a new Tomorrowland pavilion. Currently, there are 5 versions of Space Mountain around the globe, and we’ll be interested to see how this one changes.
