CONFIRMED: Disney World’s Old Fort Wilderness Cabins Are For Sale

Disney World has been going through some SERIOUS changes, with more on the way.

Fort Wilderness Cabin

We’ve been following progress on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, a new ride opening in Magic Kingdom soon. We’ve also been following construction at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, which is getting some new Disney Vacation Club (DVC) villas. Disney’s Fort Wilderness recently got brand new DVC cabins, but you might be wondering what happened to the old cabins. Well, now we know.

An ad has turned up on Facebook Marketplace advertising the sale of “Tiny House Resort Cabin Mobile Home.” It’s the image, though, that had us looking further into this mobile home that’s for sale. Yes, it looks familiar because it’s the old Fort Wilderness log cabin!

You’ll not only get the cabin, though. It also comes with A/C, appliances, furniture, and more. So it’s the FULL experience of the old Fort Wilderness cabins. Of course, this is still a TINY home with just one bedroom and one bathroom PLUS it has to be delivered from Florida to wherever you live, but if you miss the old cabins, you can just buy one of your own.

Multiple units are available and we think this could be a great idea if you wanted to do an AirBnB kind of thing with the cabins. Disney fans would pay BIG BUCKS to stay in a former Disney property, right? So how much will one of these cabins set you back? The going price is $49,900, just shy of $50,000.

Meanwhile, you can now book the NEW cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness — they’re more modern and streamlined, though. If you miss the old log cabins and can’t afford to purchase one, though, we’re betting you’ll see them listed on AirBnB or VRBO soon enough in various locations throughout the country.

  1. I would love to get one of these but the cost and how to get it to Michigan would be a fortune. I have a one acre piece of land that would be great on. And to rent it out would be great advertising for disney.
