Is Disney World Hinting at a Huge Restaurant CHANGE for Magic Kingdom?

There’s a NEW addition in Magic Kingdom!

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

We’ve been watching the construction at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure for a WHILE now, but a few days ago, we got a big development near the ride — Disney added theming for a brand-new gift shop! We were there to check it out the morning that the signs went up, but now we’re taking a closer look at some of the theming details — there might be some important hints hidden inside.

Say hello to the Critter Co-Op! This will be one of two new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure-themed gift shops near the ride. The other is Tiana’s Bayou General, which will be located at the exit of the ride.

Critter Co-Op

Critter Co-Op takes over the former home of The Briar Patch, and it’ll be themed to all the cute lil critters that Disney introduced for the new ride. The sign is even decked out with two of them — Rufus the turtle (or tortoise, maybe?) and Apollo the racoon.

But even more hidden details lie within the windows outside the shop! One window is filled with posters advertising everything from the House Rules to the Mardi Claw Ball to the Firefly Family Sing-Along.

The bulletin board says you can sign up for a beginner dance class or even attend a cooking class — you’ll make swamp gumbo and mud pie! And if you lost a pair of size 243 tap shoes, you’ll want to contact Lari. (Lari is another of the new critters, an armadillo.)

Little nods

The other side of the window displays a poster for the Bayou Community Band, which apparently plays inside the Critter Co-Op nightly.

Moving around to the other side of the shop, a second window display is filled with vegetables, along with a note from Tiana herself!

The note comes “from the kitchen of Tiana’s Palace” and is addressed to Louis and friends. Tiana notes that she hopes Louis and his friends enjoy the ingredients she sent.

We really hope this is a nod to a new restaurant in Magic Kingdom! Disneyland already has Tiana’s Palace, so it would be very exciting to get the same restaurant on the east coast to go along with the new ride.

There you have it — a glimpse at the hidden details of the Critter Co-Op! We can’t wait to check out this shop when it opens. Stay tuned to AllEars for updates!

  1. Interesting. I wonder if the Country Bear Jamboree getting a new show and that add for the Co-Op Community band are a coincidence.
