An upcoming Universal Orlando coaster is already giving us the newbie jeebies.
It’s currently a time of excitement and construction at Universal Orlando, with work ongoing on new rides, lands, even a whole new theme park. However, one of the roller coasters coming to the resort already has us afraid, and shockingly it’s not the one featuring dragons or a werewolf.
Earlier this year, Universal announced the details of the upcoming DreamWorks Land – the kid-friendly re-imagining of the area of Universal Studios Florida previously known as Woody Woodpecker’s KidZone. The land will feature several children’s play areas, meet & greet opportunities with characters including Shrek and Po from the Kung Fun Panda franchise, and – our topic today – a family coaster themed to Trolls.
Universal describes the wonderfully named Trollercoaster as a ride in which guests can “Hop onto the caterpillar Caterbus on this family-friendly coaster. You’ll join Poppy, Tiny and the twins Satin and Chenille as you try to make an escape from spooky spiders.”
So what sounds so terrifying about that? Simply, the ride vehicles. Look at this thing. Tell us that’s not going to be haunting your dreams forever?!?

Ahem, haunting roller coaster train aside, we’re greatly looking forward to the Trollercoaster and DreamWorks Land as a whole, as they’ll be adding a much-needed family-friendly option to Universal Studios Florida. Stay tuned to AllEars for more universal updates.
