It is no secret that Disney World can get expensive, and we are all for finding ways to keep costs down when we visit. Sometimes, though, we like to splurge a little bit!
You might be a person who will always splurge on Genie+, or maybe you want to try that fancy cocktail at a table-service restaurant, or even get a picture printed on your latte at Joffrery’s Coffee. Regardless, we all like to splurge from time to time. You are on vacation, after all, so treat yourself! There is one weird thing that our team will always splurge on, and it might not be what you expect.
You may be expecting us to say Individual Lightning Lanes or even Minnie Ears, but the truth is we are willing to splurge on table service dining for one specific reason, and that is BREAD.
We are suckers for some good bread, and if we dine at a table service restaurant that has memorable bread, we are going to go back for it!
Now, you may ask yourself, which Disney World restaurants are that good to return just for bread? We compiled a list of the top six Disney World restaurants that we will splurge on just to get our hands on some of their yummy bread!
‘Ohana
‘Ohana is located at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and serves its food family-style, which means UNLIMITED BREAD. We are big fans of this because you actually get bread to start and end your meal!
The real star of the meal is the dessert bread! ‘Ohana serves up their famous bread pudding. Of course, this comes with a big scoop of ice cream drizzled in caramel.
Getting to have bread twice during your meal is all worth the splurge for us!
Sanaa
Sanaa is located at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge—Kidani Village. The food is delicious here, but wait until you hear about their bread service.
As an appetizer, we recommend ordering the Indian-Style Bread Service. You won’t be disappointed! This appetizer comes with five breads and nine different accompaniments.
For the bread, you get traditional naan, garlic-ginger naan, spiced naan, onion kulcha, and paneer paratha. For the accompaniments, you get cucumber raita, roasted red pepper hummus, mango chutney, tomato-date jam, tamarind chutney, coriander chutney, garlic pickle, red chile sambal, and spicy jalapeño-lime pickle.
We love this bread service! It is so unique and comes with so many breads to try.
Ale & Compass
At Disney’s Yacht Club, you can find Ale & Compass. You are going to want to order this bread appetizer the next time you are there.
The bread service here features Parker House Rolls, which come with a variety of different spreads. Currently, bacon jam, pub cheese, and citrus butter spread are included with this service.
The bread has a little bit of salt on top, which makes it taste even better. We also like to mix the spreads together.
Yachtsman Steakhouse
Also, at the Yacht Club, you can find the Yachtsman Steakhouse. The bread service here features something that is not found at many restaurants.
Here, you can get the onion pull-apart rolls, and they are amazing. They are served with butter topped with salt, and the best part is that they come with roasted garlic. Putting both the butter and roasted garlic on these rolls takes them up a level. If the onion pull-apart rolls sound like a little too much, the bread service also comes with sourdough.
If you can’t get into the steakhouse, you can also order the bread service next door at the Crew’s Cup Lounge.
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue
This one is for our lovers of sweeter bread! Over at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campgrounds, you can find the iconic Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. This restaurant offers everything you care to enjoy, and even some alcohol is included in the price of the meal!
The bread served here is cornbread, and we could munch on it all day! The mac n’ cheese is even cornbread-crusted!
If you want to take home a loaf of this bread, head next door to Trail’s End, and you can buy the same cornbread that is served at the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue.
Cítricos
For our last recommendation, head over to Cítricos at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. This restaurant was recently re-themed with details inspired by the film Mary Poppins Returns.
The bread service here is one of our team members’ favorites! You get ciabatta bread and rye. Now, this bread does have olives in it, but for those who may not like olives, we still recommend giving the bread a try! The bread comes with citrus salted butter, which is perfect to top it off with!
We know Disney World is not cheap, but everyone deserves to splurge from time to time. When we want to splurge at Disney World, you can always catch us at table service restaurants going back for their amazing bread services!
The cheddar biscuits may be one of the last things keeping Red Lobster (barely) in business.
Bread service at Le Cellier is also Excellent!
