CONFIRMED: Full List of Disney World Ride Closures in June 2024

Planning a Disney World vacation? We know — it’s kind of exhausting and exhilarating all at the same time, right?

EPCOT

There are so many things to take into account like choosing the right hotel, deciding which tickets to buy, booking travel, and planning fun things like what to eat on the trip! If you’re going to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth this June, we wanted to give you a heads-up on the scheduled ride closures so you can plan accordingly. Let’s get into it.

Test Track

No, the EPCOT Transformation is still NOT done. The last big piece of that puzzle is CommuniCore Hall and Plaza, which are set to open on June 10th! However, a week later on June 17th, Test Track will close to be reimagined.

Disney has released some concept art for what the updated ride will look like, but the exact changes aren’t super clear just yet. Based on this concept art, the ride vehicles also look as if they’re going to be similar to those seen in World of Motion when the ride opened in 1982.

There is currently no reopening date for the attraction but we’ll be sure to let you know when Disney makes an announcement!

What Is Disney World Doing to Test Track? We Have Some Clues…

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

Splash Mountain closed in January 2023 at Magic Kingdom, and it has slowly but surely turned into an entirely new attraction — Tiana’s Bayou Adventure!

There is currently no opening date for the Princess and the Frog-themed ride, but it is set to open in Disney World this summer. Disney DID drop a clue, though, because they revealed that media previews will be happening in “mid-June”. We likely won’t see an opening until after that, but that gives us more of an idea!

Country Bear Jamboree

In case you missed it, Country Bear Jamboree is getting a completely new show! The show closed back in January and is expected to reopen sometime this summer. We haven’t heard about an exact opening date yet, so the closure may continue through June.

What’s changing at this iconic attraction? Well, there will be new songs in a variety of styles inspired by Opry-style shows in Nashville. The characters will be getting new looks and Live Lips McGrowl is changing his name to Romeo McGrowl. You’re also sure to hear a few familiar Disney songs in the new show!

Voyage of the Little Mermaid

Voyage of the Little Mermaid has been sitting abandoned since 2020…but later this year, it will see some new life! That’s right — The Little Mermaid show is coming back in a new way, but if you’re visiting in June you’re out of luck.

The current opening timeline is “fall 2024”, so it will be a little while before we learn more about the show and a debut date. We’ll keep you updated when we know more!

ALL of the Rides at Blizzard Beach

Disney has been doing this weird thing where only one of their two water parks is open at a time. So when Typhoon Lagoon reopened in March, Blizzard Beach closed for refurbishment.

Blizzard Beach

In 2023, Blizzard Beach reopened on November 6th, so we might see a similar timeline in 2024. Only time will tell!

Don’t forget! Anyone staying at Disney hotels in 2025 will get FREE admission to one of the water parks, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park or Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park, on their check-in day included in their stay.
