Expedition Everest Just Had a ROUGH Morning in Disney World

You know the famous Hannah Montana lyrics — “Everybody has those days.”

That applies to us as humans…and even Disney World rides! We’re constantly looking and reporting on ride closures because they are bound to impact you at least once on your Disney World trip. Now, we’ve noticed that one ride at Disney’s Animal Kingdom had some difficulties opening in the morning…

When taking a look at the wait times from May 8th, we noticed that one ride was on the struggle bus in the morning — Expedition Everest. In April, the ride closed 28 times over 16 different days so it’s normal to see some technical difficulties here. The ride was closed for the first two hours of the day!

If the ride you planned to rope drop/head to first is closed in the morning, remember to have a backup plan ahead of time! For example, if we were headed to Expediton Everest and found it closed, we’d probably keep walking around to Africa and hop on Kilimanjaro Safaris. The line can get long there later in the day so it’s still a good rope drop option and the animals are usually pretty active in the morning!
