Orange StingerINTRODUCTION

It’s not a figment of your imagination — that really IS a huge orange sitting on the edge of Paradise Bay! Inside the orange take your own “Flight of the Bumblebee” as you sit in a swing chair that whirls you around and up and down.

ATTRACTION

The Queue for the Orange Stinger is completely outside, though once inside the orange there’s a little bit of cover. You’ll climb up steps to the queue/boarding area, though there is an elevator available for those who need it.

Each rider sits in an individual bumblebee swing chair. To enter the chair, pull up on the metal bar across the front, then seat yourself and lower the bar. Take the strap that is hanging from the seat between your legs and clip it to the bar. Forty-eight people can ride at one time.

When the ride begins the swings rise off the floor, and start to spin around faster and faster. The entire assembly tilts so that in each revolution you go up and down as you fly around. Though the swing chairs appear close together, once the ride begins centrifugal force takes over and there is no danger of colliding with another chair.

Smell the oranges and listen to the bees as you fly!

TOURING TIPS

Stinger Swing ChairThis ride is not recommended for those who are afraid of heights or prone to motion sickness. Pregnant women and those with other medical considerations, such as back and neck problems, are advised against riding.

The swing chairs are not very big, so those with wide hips or large stomachs may not fit in the chairs.

Riders must be 48″ tall.

Those in wheelchairs/ECVs must take the elevator up to the boarding area, then transfer into a swing.

There’s no place to store backpacks or bags — either leave them with a non-riding member of your party or leave them sitting along the edge inside the gates.

Restrooms are located next to Burger Invasion.
