Ever heard ANGELS SING after a single bite?

OK, a little flowery, but finally was able to snap a reservation after years of trying and reading glowing tributes to their NEW YORK STRIP .. ..

Eagerly ordered mine and all those reviews were not just lies, they were damn lies!

This NY STRIP may have been the best meal for eternity -->> Cooked perfectly (actually medium rare), charred to perfection, and almost didn't even need a steak knife .. .. And, that first bite .. ..

(angels singing, bells ringing)

Every bite was mouth-watering and amazingly, the very last bite was as good as the first bite! How many meals can you say that about? My mum's SCALLOPS were also delicious & beautiful but I regress .. ..

Our server CHELSEA was wonderful and must have gotten a good chuckle at how quickly I finished off the meal as she had her manager come over to say HI .. .. :)))

This single meal made the entire trip for me and I'm already looking at airfares to return here as soon as I can .. ..

ps > Not to bring $$$ into this but the NY Strip was just $56, almost half the price of what we paid @ Le Cellier and might have been one of the cheapest entrees we had the entire week and this meal was almost mind-altering!

THANKS FLYING FISH & CHELSEA!!

Pros:

Heavenly NY Strip!

Cons:

Can't eat here every night because they probably wouldn't let me in every night

This was the best meal I’ve had property in a long time. First our server was excellent. He took the appropriate amount of time to explain the menu but wasn’t over bearing. For the appetizer, we had the pork belly. This was different than I expected, but in a good way. Instead of being crispy this was very tender like “meat butter.” It was delicious. For our entree’s I ordered the
Scallops and my wife had the waygu filet. My wife loved her filet. It was served with a truffle sauce and risotto. My scallops were served with grits and a pepper sauce. They were cooked perfectly. It was really outstanding. The desserts were also both very good. I will warn you that the cocktails are strong here. This is the first time we have dined here since the refurbishment and we had a great time.

Food and service

We've been to Flying Fish several times, both pre- and post-refurb. After a disappointing dinner there right after the refurb, we thought we should give it a second chance and are we glad we did! Our wonderful evening started with our server. A former cast member from the Norway pavilion, she was charming, passionate about her job and had lovely stories to tell. She provided excellent and attentive service and her recommendations from the menu were spot-on. The food was amazing. I had the fish special of the evening and my son had the steak. Both excellent. We ate at a few signatures over the course of our trip and Flying Fish was, by far, the best. We will definitely be back!

Amazing food, fantastic service

We go to Disney World once a month all winter (live in Wisc).
Everytime we go we make sure we eat at Flying Fish.
My husband usually orders the salmon, he says the fish and what is served with it is one of the best salmon combination he has ever had.
I am trying to work through the menu, so far I have tried the steak, bison, sea bass with prawns, and a few of the sustainable fish; all have been exceptional.
The combination of veg. with the sustainable fish is my favorite.
The combinations that Chef Tim comes up with are so tasty. I rarely clean my plate but I always do here.
DiDi has been our server most of the times we are here and have not have better service anywhere else. He is the best.

Pros:

great service outstanding food

I heard Flying Fish was finally re-opened after 7 months. New décor, new Menu. As it had been a favorite we decided to invite Mom and her friend to join us. After viewing the new menu and the prices, we decided to order several appetizers and a soup. WE all chose the Blue Crab Bisque. there was plenty of lump crab meat in the huge bowls. The server has also added the sherry right there at the table so you could tell him, none, just a little, or go ahead and pour. Hubby went with none, I let him just pour. the appetizers were all nice sized portions. I often make my dinner out of appetizers and a salad or soup, so I was surprised at the regular sized dinner plates that the appetizers were plated on. Hubby decided to order the regular Wagyu beef filet for his meal. he always orders medium rare plus- or on the medium side of medium rare. he alsa asked to switch the Bordelaise sauce for a garlic butter sauce. The beef appeared more rare than he would usually eat it, but he took a bite and said it was perfect. I believe the wagyu is more red, it was so tender it just melted. yes the filet was large enough, he gave everyone a bite to try. we asked the server to recommend a dessert to share, she suggested the "Under the Sea". It was 3 hills of Chocolate mousse, along with toffee that looked like coral fans. it was very rich and perfect sized for 4 to each have several bites. All of us very much enjoyed our meal, and we will be back, just not as often as we went to the "Old Flying Fish" due to the higher price point. The DO also still take the Tables in Wonderland Discount card...So that is a plus !

Pros:

beautiful decor, very upscale, and quieter than the dining room used to be.

Cons:

price

OK, it's been long enough! I need to have the FISH at FLYING FISH ((because their Filet & NY Strip are so, so good!)) .. ..

Had their CHILEAN SEA BASS and it was 1,000.00% lovely .. .. Perfectly-cooked, subtle with a sauce to die for .. ..

The left over sauce was so mind-blowing, everyone at our table of 12 passed it around with the bread to try it!

THANK YOU FLYING FISH for your patience with our tardy, large family!

Pros:

Everything.

Cons:

Nothing.

The new decor is gorgeous; much nicer than it was. It was a lot of fun to try the new wine system, where you can try several wines in whatever size pour you'd like (one-ounce, three-ounce, etc). Both appetizers we had were great—a rare tuna on watermelon, and a stone-fruit salad. The main courses were exceptional—the filet mignon was perfectly cooked and accompanied by a really nice concoction of vegetables; the bison strip steak was even better, though the ancient grains accompaniment wasn't as nice as the veggies with the beef. The lemon and blueberry cheesecake was very good, the napoleon was very beautiful and also good. The only thing that really bothered me was paying $7.50 for a pot of tea afterwards! The desserts were only $9 and $10 each, so the tea seemed a little out of proportion. This is the first time we've experienced an "apathetic" server, due to knowing we were on Tables in Wonderland, perhaps? Or maybe it was just due to the tiring week of Christmas.

Pros:

excellent food

Cons:

extremely expensive

My husband LOVES it here and I think its pretty good. I personally think it has some of the better seafood options you can get on Disney property. It is a great place if you are planning a trip without little kids or are looking for a date night outside of the parks. Atmosphere is beautiful, service was very good, food was good.

Pros:

Good seafood, pretty restaurant, good for a fancier meal or date night

Cons:

Probably not the best for kiddos, pricey

I liked this place more before the refurb. Feels a bit too stuffy now. Food is still good, service is great, but nothing knocks me away.

Pros:

Good seafood.

Cons:

Stuffy, you could do better for what you pay.
