The Disney World Restaurant You’ve Never Eaten at…but Totally Should

It’s no secret that Disney World is home to lots of delicious food.

Le Cellier Filet Mignon

While some of this food lives at fan-favorite, iconic Disney World restaurants, some of our favorite food can be found at restaurants that we consider to be “hidden gems.” Today, we’re going to take you along with us to a restaurant that we REALLY love — that many of you might not have tried yet.

Toledo — Tapas, Steak, & Seafood is located at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, and is home to all sorts of Spanish-inspired dishes that are seriously YUM.

Toledo

This restaurant is one that often gets overlooked as it’s tucked away in a resort that also happens to be tucked away into its own little corner of Disney World. Seriously, though, it’s worth the extra bus trip or car ride to Coronado Springs.

Some of our favorite things here are the Pan con Tomate for $12, the Rioja-braised Chicken for $30, and the Blistered Shishito Peppers for $8. The best part about everything on the menu is that it’s all served tapas-style — and it’s meant to be shared! We feel that for the amount of food you get, the pricing is fair.

Another thing we love about this restaurant is the VIEW. There are floor-to-ceiling windows that boast a pretty spectacular view of Disney World. So, we think this is a great option to spend a few hours with some loved ones while enjoying some sharable plates and some great views. Oh, and did we mention the Master Sommelier?

Yep, you’ll also have access to over 50 choices of wines, as well as cocktails, beers, and more!

Just as some bonus content: another lesser-known restaurant that several of our team members love is Olivia’s Cafe at Disney’s Old Key West Resort, which is also tucked out of the way.

This could be another great option if you’re hoping to venture off the beaten path on your next Disney World trip.

  1. Just ate here tonight. Not good. Changed the way Pan con Tomate is prepared. Awful now. Overcooked 3 of 3 steaks. Changed Ribeye Dinner for 2. Now serving a very small portion of charcuterie. Typical Disney the last few years, tinkering with something special and ruining it. Will not be returning to Toledo.

  2. People think eating at a good Disney World restaurant should involve characters. They write reviews on their experiences based on this. When we go out to eat, we always choose based on the food. If the food is good, one shouldn’t care if Mickey comes by the table. I’ve read good reviews on restaurants simply based on the character interactions and bad ones based on lack of character interaction.

We always stay at Old Key West Resort (last trip was this past January) and have always eaten at Olivia’s at least twice each trip. I don’t recall ever having a bad meal. Reservations are suggested even when we go in January, so that says something about a restaurant. I’m sure they have their bad days just like every restaurant at Disney World. We’re looking forward to breakfast and a couple of dinners there again this coming January.

  3. I had one of the worst meals in 40 years of DC visits at Olivia’s Cafe. The vegetarian stew was totally inedible, with woody asparagus and a sauce that tasted like packaged brown gravy. I wouldn’t recommend eating here unless you like fried chicken, which I do not.

    1. I’ve had similar experiences over the past several years. I think they lost their chef and the staff that were there for years if not the beginning of the vacation club. Obviously this changed everything. They need a menu refresh and a new chef. Breakfast is still good but not my choice for any other meals.
