One of our favorite pastimes is scrolling through Yelp.
What can we say? We love a hot take. We love to see what others think of our most favorite and least favorite spots to eat, as well as… well, you know, do what normal folks do on Yelp and scout out NEW places to eat. Well, we were looking at the Yelp reviews for EPCOT restaurants recently, and we weren’t at all surprised by our findings. Let’s talk about it!
We say it all the time, but EPCOT is truly one of our favorite Disney Parks to visit when we want to EAT. Relatively, the food here is great. It seems that most other Disney World visitors would agree, as the EPCOT restaurant with the lowest rating is still rated 3.5 stars — which we’d say is still above-average. Can you guess which restaurant it is?
We told a teensy lie. There’s a tie for the WORST restaurant in EPCOT, according to Yelp.
Coral Reef Restaurant  — 3.5 Stars
Located in The Seas Pavilion, Coral Reef invites visitors to dine among sea creatures in this aquarium-themed eatery. It’s a cool experience, the only problem is that the food is severely lacking.
Don’t get us wrong — it’s okay. It isn’t HORRIBLE. We’ve just had better from a middle school cafeteria, and we won’t be elaborating on that. The Yelp reviews brag on the seafood, but it seems everything else is lacking. Check out our readers’ reviews below!
Coral Reef Restaurant Restaurant

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall — 3.5 Stars
Located in the Norway Pavilion, this restaurant allows folks to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner among royalty. Yep, this is where you can meet princesses!
The food here is served buffet style, however, it isn’t the greatest out of all the Disney World buffets we’ve had. There are also options that you can have delivered to the table! Based on the Yelp reviews, a lot of folks agree with us in that the main experience ere is meeting the princesses — not the cuisine.
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall Restaurant
Services: Buffet/All You Care to Eat , Table Service
San Angel Inn Restaurante — 3.6 Stars
Located in the pyramid in the Mexico Pavilion, San Angel Inn is a table-service restaurant where you can enjoy some pretty tasty Mexican food, all with a view of the water and volcano of the Tres Caballeros ride.
The only issue we have with this is that it’s so DARK and the tables are so small. The reviews on Yelp generally brag on the food but complain that it isn’t a big portion for what you pay, and a few even mention how dark it is, too.

What a waste at Coral Reef. I keep trying it every so often and it has always disappointed because the food is not good. The entertainment value and service are great. Prices are fine because where else can you eat at an aquarium? But the food is not tasty.
Not a fan of San Angel Inn. There was a stone or something similiar that was hard in our chicken dish and the waitress did nothing about it. So we won’t return. Askershus – the food wasn’t that great. I’ve never been to Coral Reef.
First time at Coral Reef was with our then 9 and 13 year olds. We sat right next to the aquarium windol It was great.
Next time with our young daughter: expensive, food not good, not going there again.
Just was at Akerhaus with our five year old granddaughter. Princesses were great. EXPENSIVE and not as good as when we were with our daughter years ago.
Never was a fan of San Angel after eating there and getting a stomach ache. Nice atmosphere, I didn’t mind the dark, but tables too close together.
