March is a huge month for spring break travelers in Disney World.
It’s why you’ll often see longer lines (or lines that fluctuate week to week with no real pattern), more crowds, and overall just busier parks. More park volume sometimes means that some rides tend to close down during the day more often — these are the rides that closed the most this month.
Magic Kingdom
Our top spot in Magic Kingdom was a bit of a surprise, but not when we REALLY thought about it. Space Mountain closed 33 times over 19 days, and if that isn’t proof this ride needs a little TLC, we don’t know what is.
And the “S” trend continues because Seven Dwarfs Mine Train had the second most closures, closing 30 times over 21 days.
This is one of the most popular rides in the park and sees thousands of people per day, so it doesn’t surprise us that this one is on the list.
EPCOT
We’ve got not two, but THREE highest ride closures in EPCOT, starting with Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure closing 31 times over 21 days. This is a trackless dark ride, so there are a lot of things that can easily go wrong!
Now this one was a bit of a shock — Gran Fiesta Tour closed 22 times over 12 days. Yes, it’s a small boat ride located in the Mexico Pavilion that doesn’t have too many animatronics or flashy effects. It’s interesting, to say the least.
And lastly, Test Track closed 21 times over 17 days, which just felt too close to the others we couldn’t leave it out. This is another ride that sees high crowds each day and has some pretty advanced tech, so we understand why it’s here.
Don’t forget that Test Track is getting a refurbishment soon, so ride the current version while you can!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios
The top closure spot goes to Rise of the Resistance which closed 41 times over 20 days. This is one of, if not THE most, technologically advanced ride in Disney World right now, so this makes perfect sense.
However, the one that has us scratching our heads is that Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy closed 21 times over 17 days. Out of ALL the rides in Hollywood Studios (including Tower of Terror, king of breakdowns), we’re shocked this closed the second most amount of times.
We’re a little concerned about you, DHS, not gonna lie.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
*sigh* And here’s where things get really interesting. Kali River Rapids JUST reopened after it’s yearly winter closure…and closed 20 times over 8 days. WHAT?!
And of course, we have Dinosaur, which closed 16 times over 11 days.
This is another ride that will likely be getting a full retheme soon (as Dinoland U.S.A. is getting ready to be completed transformed), so ride it while you can!
