Spring break has passed and summer is on the way…but it’s still busy at Disney World!
There have been some exciting events happening in the parks including May the 4th at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and the 35th anniversary of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Although the parks don’t feel as packed, aren’t selling out as often, and Genie+ prices are pretty tame, that doesn’t mean you can escape the long wait times.
We’re looking at the wait times from Monday, May 6th and we noticed that seven rides still posted triple-digit wait times! It’s the usual suspects like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, and Flight of Passage, but that proves no matter when you visit, you’ll need a strategy to avoid long wait times like that.
There are a few things you can do. Number one is buying Genie+, Disney’s skip-the-line service. The price depends on the day, but it can be a convenient option for skipping the lines. In the My Disney Experience app, you’ll be able to book Lightning Lanes to get an expedited wait time at certain attractions.
The second thing we highly recommend doing is free — prioritizing those rides with long wait times. Yes, this might mean waking up early for rope drop or staying up late for park close, but those tend to be the best times to hop in line for the most popular attractions.
