The hostess was accompanying to change our reservation as they had an earlier one open. From there on it was downhill. Our server was very friendly even with all the walking up all the stairs. The fondue appetizer was pricey for the 4 carrots, 2 pieces of bread, 4 crackers and 4 pieces of cauliflower I would never order that again. We split a wedge salad. Was lacking everything. A very small amount of chopped onion not even a teaspoon. A few small pieces of bacon ands the blue cheese dressing was so watery and the blue cheese was not. So not worth the money. We had the 16 oz rib eye. It was not the most tender steak I have ever had , barely warm and tasteless. Potatoes were good. But also tasteless. No seasoning whatsoever on anything. My daughters was raw. Ordered medium rare but was rare rare. We were so unhappy with this 160.00 bill for 2. I would never dine here again!

None

We were able to walk up without a reservation and get seated immediately. Food was fun and good but nothing spectacular. It was a nice place to sit down and eat after a long park day.

Pros:

Cheese fondue appetizer is served on a lazy Susan style tray and was fun.

Cons:

Pricey for what it is, but it’s at a theme park so it should be expected.

To be very honest we were really disappointed. We put down on the reservations that we were here for a birthday celebration. There was no acknowledgment of that. I had the crab cakes which was a special for Mardi Gras. The crab cakes were pretty small and barely had any crab. For the price we paid, you should see lumps of crab meat. The crab cakes came with spicy mac n cheese. The mac n cheese was spicy but the cheese lacked any flavor so basically it was just spicy noodles. My brother had the filet. The filet was cooked perfectly but it had absolutely no flavor. No seasonings or anything that made it special. My kids shared the special which was just basically pure fat and no meat. It's a beautiful restaurant but with a nearly $200 bill, I expected a lot more. We also were seated upstairs which is very isolated. If I had known, I would have asked for a table downstairs.

Pros:

Beautiful restaurant. We had a very nice waitress.

Cons:

Food was over priced for what we got. Food lacked flavor and meat was a total disappointments.

My family and I had heard mixed reviews of Bigfire this have avoided it our past few trips to Universal. I am beyond glad we tried it out this visit as it was our favorite meal of the trip. My husband ordered he ribeye which was cooked a perfect medium rare, juicy and flavorful. I love ordering mussels at restaurants and these were some of the best i have every had. Service was great very attentive with helpful suggestions. Our favorite cocktail of the night was the smoked old fashioned prepared table side. We had a very early evening reservation, I wouldn’t feel comfortable bringing my two year old back in the evening as I feel it has a nicer vibe to it.

Pros:

Quality and quantity of food, cocktails, neat theming/decor, service

Cons:

White cheddar Mac n cheese on the kids menu (we are used to kraft style in children’s menus but I will say our waiter did warn us)
